Senior Pictures – Mallory
When driving home from work for a few weeks I had noticed some beautiful wheat fields and thought they would make for great senior pictures. I knew Mallory lived near those fields, so I sent her a message on facebook and ask her if she would be interested in doing some pictures there. She said sure, but busy schedules on both sides prohibited us doing those. The wheat field was cut down and will have to wait until another time.
I was finally able to get a day we could meet and do the photos. It was a day I took off from my “regular job” and did an afternoon DJ job at Westminster woods. I was finished at three and met Mallory around 4 at her house. We stayed right at the farm and took all the pictures. First on a small road below her home then across the road in and around the barn. I think my favorites were the photos inside the barns. When I finished retouching the first one I actually sent it to a friend who I know from art school to see what she thought. The first thing she said is “That’s an amazing background!”.
We spent a couple ours getting the photos. The only photos we didn’t get that I and Mallory would have like to have was photos with her horse. When I walked over to take one and the flash went off the horse took off and didn’t come back. I took a lot of photos and retouched a few you can see here.
Mallory was very easy to work with and I wanted to thank her and her family for letting me work with her on my photography technique. It’s a never ending learning process. I hope Mallory didn’t mind me talking about technique almost the entire time I was taking her pictures.
I really love taking senior pics. If you have a senior or any age kid or are someone who needs any sort of photography, please feel free to contact me.
