Wedding – Klayton & Taylor, September 9th 2017
A wedding I have been looking forward to for a long time. As for a lot of people I know, I know them from work I do as a DJ. Such is the case for Klayton. I was happy I was able to be the dj for this event and happy that they were ok with me taking some photos.
The ceremony was held at a church in Mount Union and since I was playing the music for this, I did see the ceremony. It did however give me the chance to get to Bell Mountain Estates early and play with my drone. See below video.
The reception started at 3:30 and introductions were made then a catered meal. I like to give a shout out to the caterer but I didn’t get to talk to them, so I’m not sure who it was.
After the meal we did the speeches. It was one of the times that you get choked up and you get a tear in your eye. I believe there was more than one person feeling that way. As I looked at Klayton’s mom I did see a tissue come out, so I did my best to get a picture of that moment.
For the cake cutting the couple let folks vote on who they thought should smash whom when it came to the cake. I’m not sure who had the most votes and I am not sure it mattered. Both did their best to get the other with said cake.
The traditional dances were really nice. The dances with the parents, again had a few tears falling. Klayton and his mom danced to Perfect Fan by the Backstreet Boys. Taylor and her dad danced to Tim McGraw & My Little Girl. I think there were tears all around during those dances.
During the garter and bouquet I knew Klayton would have some fun. He did, pulling out a large pair of nylons from under the brides dress before the garter.
We had such a fun time at this job and wish the new couple the happiest ever after as possible. I have to say, as I know I am, I feel older and older at jobs like this, where I have seen both kids grow up at high school dances and then taking the next step in life. It also seems they are getting younger as I get older. Thank you Klayton & Taylor.
