Wedding Christie & Joey
Christie contacted me several months ago about being the DJ for her wedding. Christie and family are from Florida and the wedding was held on a Thursday. She got my name from a mutual friend and I’m glad we could be a part of the special day. As usual, I brought my camera along and above you can see a few pf the images I captured.
The wedding was held at Brookemere Winery. A beautiful place located near Reedsville in Big Valley.
It was a really hot and humid day. In fact, as wedding time rolled around in rolled a thunderstorm. The wedding was set to start at 5:30 and the storm hit about 5:15. As soon as it ended the the skies turned blue a rainbow appeared and we knew it was time to go.
The Wedding
The wedding was held behind the main building at Brookmere. The sun was getting low in the sky behind the couple and off to the left which was making some beautiful light over the flowers and gardens. I was playing music for the ceremony so i din’t move far to capture that. The photographer that was there did I believe. I am anxious to see her work.
After the wedding we headed up to the barn at Brookmere. I have seen the outside it a dozen times but was never inside. All the previous weddings I had done there were under the pavilion.
What a beautiful surprise! We walked in and for one it was around 73 degrees and not humid. Yes this place had air conditioning! The florist was already there and did an amazing job.
The couple came in and was introduced. The bride and groom went straight to the dance floor for their first dance. Bride and her dad were next followed by the groom and his mom. Before the reception the groom mentioned to me he was more afraid of the dances than the wedding. He did a great job in both.
After the dances was a prayer and then the meal. I wanted to give a shout out to “Kickin Katerer” as they did a great job and the food was delicious.
After the meal the only thing left was the cutting of the cake and dancing.
It was a really fun night and wish Christie and Joey the best. Thank you for letting me be part of it!
