Ben & Ashleigh – Wedding

Many years ago when I was spending overnights at a friends house I wasn’t thinking about being the DJ or taking pictures at the friends sons wedding. That’s what happened this past Friday at the Belle Mountain Estates near Lewistown. The photos here are just candids that I shot as I was not the photographer for this wedding.

For the first time the wedding was not held near the old stone house at Belle Mountain. It was held behind the pavilion where there is a stream. It made for a nice background as the bride walked from the pavilion past the water wheel. It’s a beautiful place.

The ceremony was great and the new couple headed off for photos, the guests inside. The couple and wedding party were introduced and a meal was served. The couple had their traditional dances and an interesting dong for the mother son dance. It was Sunrise Sunset – by Chaim Topol, Norma Crane, Michael Glaser, Michele Marsh & “Fiddler On The Roof” Motion Picture Chorus. First time I have had that come up. It made for a wonderful mother son dance.

It wasn’t long until I could see rain hitting the windows and  the couple and families concluded their dances. After that there was a lot of dancing. It was a fun crowd and a fun wedding. I might not have had as much energy when this night was over. Being a work day, I was up at 3:30 in the morning.

I hope the couple has years and years and years of happiness. I am fortunate to be a part of these events and thank everyone who has allowed me to do so. I hope Ben and Ashleigh enjoy these photos as much as I enjoyed taking them.

I believe I have two more wedding for this year, one in December, which should be interesting and then I get to prepare for next years wedding season.

I’ll post more photos on my facebook page which you can find here.
