Recently I traveled to Philadelphia for a lighting workshop. it taught me so much, I can’t even begin to tell you. On of the things I struggled with was all the locations we went were big wide open rooms, magnificent. I ask the instructor how to make a room not like this look like this? Well he did give me some advice and I try to put it to practice. My wedding this past wedding, where I was the dj was, well like the title says a “Tight Squeeze”. Here is a picture of the set up.img_8609

This was taken with all the florescent lights on. It’s not easy to make a romantic picture from the blue white lights no matter what you do with the white balance in your camera or even photoshop. When the lights went down they did an amazing job with the lights on the head table. There are more examples in the main gallery. The one below is the initials the couple set behind.
img_8628Since I was the DJ for this event I didn’t get ceremony photos and because of the space in the room, I didn’t get a lot of pictures I was happy with. The first dance was around 6 feet in front of me. That made for some great close ups of the bride. As well as the Mother and Son dance. The cake cutting was further away but they had a lot of spectators I watched from a distance.

When the tables were cleared the lights came down and the dancing started.
