Shane & Taylor – Wedding
So, a November wedding outside? That might not sound like a good idea but with the exception of a little wind it was a perfect day. We were at the venue near Broad Top PA. It’s called Union Grove LLC and not matter how many times I’ve been there the view is still spectacular. This time the leaves were just a little past peak but still beautiful. I can only imagine what a winter wedding with the snow falling would look like. Maybe I’ll see that one day.
The wedding went off without a hitch other than the person officiating (name withheld), stopped on his way to the mic and asked if I would read a paragraph for him. I was sorry to have to decline since I was in control of the sound system.
This was the second wedding for this weekend, but I had a chance to work on the photos before the wedding that happened Friday. It was also the second wedding of the weekend for the New Fort Restaurant. They are located in Ft. Littleton and at the wedding we did Friday in Burnham/Lewistown area and this one in Broad Top. They do cater events but for this one and the one the day before they provided some really cool decor. From moss on tables, chandeliers to some chairs and so on. Find them on the book of faces here.
For the reception, since I was not the photographer, but the dj, I was up in the of area of Union Grove. I had been in this area one other time and didn’t think I would like taking photos from there, but you have to get what you can when you can. Again, since I was not the main photographer for this event, I guess it was a learning thing for me both times in the loft. I was very limited in where I could move, where I could place my flash and so on. In any case I hope the couple enjoys my perspective and I’d like to thank them for letting me be a part of their day.
