Kristin & Kyle wedding at Belle Mountain Estate

Kristin & Kyle – Wedding at Belle Mountain Estate

June is for Weddings and I have look forward to this month every year. Kristin & Kyle – Wedding at Belle Mountain Estate was set and I was booked for this wedding for a long time. In fact, the groom was actually in a wedding at this same location almost a year before. At that wedding he entered the reception dressed Amish. On this day he was not dressed Amish. Kristin and Kyle both looked great.

I was not the photographer for this event. Amy at Woodline photography had the honors for this wedding. I am sure she did a great job. As with a lot of the posts I make here I am the not hired “wannabe” second shooter. I love catching the candids and special moments, (major cliche’ alert!). I really do and would love to do that on a regular basis. It’s something I have been throwing around with my wife.

On to the wedding. This was a pretty early wedding, starting at 2:30. It was a beautiful day, a bit warm, but the humidity hadn’t showed its ugly face.

The wedding was set up with the beautiful pond at Belle Mountain as a background. A lot of the weddings I have done at Belle Mountain, the couple get married on the concrete, but for this one, it was in the grass. It worked out well to where the wedding party walked out. There are a lot of possibilities at Belle Mountain.

Because I was pretty far from the ceremony and on the back porch of the house, I didn’t get any close ups during the ceremony.

We went to the pavilion for the reception, where we had a delicious meal and then the ceremonial first dance. I’ve always found it hard to shoot photos at this event because the people dancing are always backlit by all the glass on the pull down doors. The sun sets in the direction I am facing so for quite a while I would have a blown out background to get good color in the subjects.

I usually shoot more first dance photos than any other event. This time I took more father/bride dance photos. I saw both tearing up. Although I didn’t get a picture of any actual tears, but close.

It was a nice time and again thankful for the weather. I realize as the summer means hot weather. I also why I think October is almost taking over for the wedding month.

I hope you enjoy the pictures. I am glad I get to take them. I love to do it. I will post more to my photography facebook page soon. You can see them here when they are posted.

Thanks to Kristin & Kyle – Wedding at Belle Mountain Estate. Always a great place for weddings.
