Myachia and Logan Wedding – DJ & Photography
At this wedding, I was the DJ but Myachia and Logan were nice enough to let me roam around during the ceremony and work on my photography. This was held on the property of Raystown Resort but at a pavilion not at the actual lodge. I was a bit worried as with any outdoor wedding of the heat factor, but this day was just right. I arrived at the location pretty early and got set up. There was a lot of decorating going on. The father of the bride was there and folks were cooking up the meal to be served at the reception.
This was not a new place for me to DJ. I have done many a job at Raystown Resort. The part that was new was this pavilion site. A nice site located not too far from the waterslides. Fortunately for the wedding couple the slides were closed and there was no noise coming from them. Also, something I didn’t know about with this particular spot was the small field off to the side. It made a perfect spot for a wedding. The couple had bales of hay lined up for seating. They had a nice spot decorated for the ceremony.
When the wedding started the groomsmen walked with the pastor down through the wooded area and met in front. Then came the flower girls and ring bearers. They had a little trouble, but for most weddings this is nothing more than one of the great memories. The bride was escorted to the front and the ceremony began. She looked beautiful and all went well during this wedding ceremony. The bride was emotional in a good way and as you will see in one of the photos, the groom even had to wipe away a tear.
Truly the most memorable event at the reception was a groomsman giving a speech and starting to tear up. A groomsman I watched the previous year tearing up and down a football field, having very little mercy for his opponents.
