Wedding – Roles
No DJ work for me this time, but still not the photographer for this wedding. This time around we were at the Lewistown Country Club. Great place and I will mention it later. For this event we had out photo booth. When booking it, I ask if it would be ok to take some pictures. She said yes, so here are a few.
This reception was held at the Lewistown Country Club. I’t a really nice place. I would say it would seat a couple hundred pretty comfortably. The banquet room is on the second floor, but no worry about steps since there is an elevator. It has saved me a few times from when I have don DJ work here. I know it is also a nice feature for folks who have trouble with steps. The room was a nice temperature, the staff was great and the food was really, really good. They had wifi, which is pretty important it you want to keep young guests content.
As for the images I got, I did use a flash for most of the evening. I moved around a bit more than some of the other posts I have made, since this time I was not parked behind a DJ table shooting. There was a lot of ambient lighting when the wedding party first arrived. I was pretty far away for the toasts and cake cutting so I cranked up the ISO to compensate for not having a flash or other light source near by. In doing so it really blew out the light coming in from the outside, but made for good lighting on the subjects inside.
I didn’t take anyone outside for photos. Again, I was not the photographer, but wanted to note here that the sun set in a way that there was some good opportunity for some “golden hour” shots.
